At Liberty Library Project, we strive to enrich families in Montgomery County by donating conservative and Christian literature to public and school libraries. We believe that access to these ideas, ideas our country was founded on, is essential for our community's future.
We currently have two focuses:
1. Provide high quality, engaging posters of the 10 commandments (compliant with SB10) for classrooms through donations.
2. Placing Bibles, Brave Books, Tuttle Twins, and other conservative books in Montgomery ISD, Conroe ISD and Magnolia ISD.
Liberty Library Project is proud to partner with Love Heals Youth and local churches to support the implementation of SB 10, passed in the 89th Texas Legislative Session, which requires the display of the Ten Commandments in every public-school classroom. We are honored to host a countywide fundraiser to help schools acquire high-quality, laminated Ten Commandments posters to ensure all students can visibly see these foundational truths.
With just a $10 donation, you can help place one durable poster in a classroom. As a gesture of gratitude, we will add a personalized label on the back of each poster to honor your generosity.
Our initial goal is to provide posters for every classroom in Montgomery County, covering all six public school districts. Any funds raised beyond this goal will go toward donating the following children's bibles to school libraries to further promote biblical literacy and moral grounding: The Complete Illustrated Bible, I Can Read My Illustrated Bible, The Biggest Story Bible Storybook, and The International Children's Bible.
We aim to have 10,000 posters ready for delivery by September 1, 2025. Join us in this historic and faith-affirming effort to restore truth, virtue, and clarity to the hearts and minds of the next generation. Please donate here: https://lovehealsyouth.com/the-10-commandments
In honor of the young girls who were called home too soon during the recent storms, we are committing to donate enough Ten Commandments posters to cover every classroom in their respective schools. Each poster will carry their names on the back as a lasting tribute to their faith and light.
These girls were attending a Christian summer camp when their lives were tragically cut short. What better way to honor them than by ensuring their names live on—surrounding students daily with God’s Word, just as these young girls lived to share His love.
If you’d like to join Love Heals Youth and Liberty Library Project in this mission of remembrance and hope, each poster is just $10. Together, we can make sure their legacy and faith continue to shine in every classroom.
Phase 1: One of our first projects is to get our list of books approved by three districts in Montgomery County: Conroe ISD, Montgomery ISD, AND Magnolia ISD. We do this by donating one copy of each book to each district for review and approval. In order to get this process started, we will need three copies of each book to distribute for approval.
Phase 2: Once the first copy is approved and placed, we can discuss how many additional books the district is interested in placing. Raising money for these books will be phase 2.
Our current focus is only on elementary through junior high school ages. High school libraries will be a future project.
Our founding fathers never intended to remove the Judeo-Christian values from the schools or from our government, and this is evident in our founding documents. We have a short list of children's storybook bibles we would like to submit for approval including The Action Bible, a graphic novel that kids love. Additional books include: The Complete Illustrated Bible, I Can Read My Illustrated Bible, The Biggest Story Bible Storybook, and The International Children's Bible. Copies can be found at the county libraries for review. These books can be purchased from our Amazon wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XSRKNY67ZWIU?ref_=wl_share
Brave Books take students on an epic adventure on Freedom Island with exciting heroes. Children will bring these books home and take the entire family on an adventure. There is a parent section in the back with discussion questions and family games. We plan to submit the entire Freedom Island Series for approval. Brave Books is offering us special library pricing; therefore, we hope to raise about $2,100 (total) to pay for both Brave Books and Tuttle Twins books for each district to review. After they are reviewed and placed, we will begin the process of placing additional copies in each district. A donation link will be available soon.
Copies can be found at the county libraries for review. Learn more about this publisher here: https://bravebooks.us/
Tuttle Twins books teach conservative values our country was founded on, inspiring freedom, entrepreneurship, and personal responsibility! (Three sets of Tuttle Twins books have already been placed in Conroe ISD!!) The Tuttle Twins publisher is offering library pricing; therefore, we are raising money to purchase the sets directly from the publisher. We plan to place the entire children's series, the two history storybooks and the following guidebooks: Courageous Heros and Inspiring Entrepreneurs. Our focus is elementary through junior high grade levels at this time. We hope to raise a total of $2,100 to pay for both Brave Books and Tuttle Twins books for each district to review. This is phase 1. After the books are reviewed and placed, we will begin phase 2 to raise money for additional copies of each title. A donation link will be available soon.
Copies can be found at the county libraries for review. Learn more about this publisher here: https://tuttletwins.com/
In addition to the above books, we hope to include the following: Froggie Girl by Pamela Garfield-Jaeger, Chasing Embers by Glenn Beck and Mikayla G. Hedrick, and Squanto and the Miracle of Thanksgiving by Eric Metaxas
These books can be purchased and shipped to us through the following wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XSRKNY67ZWIU?ref_=wl_share
As a gesture of gratitude, we will add a personalized label inside one book for every $15 donation or for each physical book donated. If you choose to purchase a book from our wish list, please make sure to indicate your name or family name on the note inside. Additionally, for every $120 we will place your name in a set (10-15) books. Please indicate in the memo how you would like your name to appear on the placard inside the book(s).
This year we will be hosting a Brave Books Story Hour!

Please consider a small donation to help us with administrative costs that will be coming up as we begin our work. Liberty Library Project is entirely volunteer led maximizing your impact!
In 2023 Michele Nuckolls and a group of friends began advocating for Christian and conservative books to be added to the public libraries in Montgomery County (Texas). The first two sagas (seven sets) of Brave Books were generously donated by our County Judge, Judge Mark Keough, District Attorney Brett Ligon, and County Attorney B.D. Griffon. (All pictured above with Amy Davis standing in for Mr. Griffon). These books were wildly popular and several additional large donations were made by generous donors as more sagas were published. It became clear that a charitable organization would be helpful in driving this important work. Eventually the county libraries began purchasing these books and donations were no longer necessary. This is why our focus is on school libraries in Montgomery County. Liberty Library Project gives donors the ability to make tax deductible donations.
Our board includes Michele Nuckolls, a homeschool mom residing in Conroe ISD, Rebecca Smith a licensed professional counselor, homeschool mom and resident of Montgomery ISD, and Lindsey Houck an artist, homeschool mom and public school mom residing in Montgomery ISD.
Liberty Library Project is a Christian organization. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe children should have access to these stories as well as stories that teach children the values our country was founded on including liberty and personal responsibility.
